Here\u2019s the latest:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/sisenor-columbus.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Peruvian sandwich shop Si Se\u00f1or<\/a> opens its third store today (Friday, Jan. 31), this one at 4189 Weaverton Lane at Easton Town Center. Si Se\u00f1or first opened in downtown Columbus before adding a Grandview store and moving its original shop to the Arena District. The Easton grand opening runs from 6-10 p.m. today.<\/li>\n<li>The owners of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.charmyspersiantaste.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Charmy\u2019s Persian Taste<\/a>, which has operated out of the kitchen at the Hills Market Downtown for a few years, announced that as of March 1 they\u2019ll take over the market as Charmy\u2019s Market. The Hills will consolidate operations at its Worthington store; Charmy\u2019s will continue the market as it is, but with expansions of its international foods, grab-and-go items, and more.<\/li>\n<li>The Lion cocktail bar, which <a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2024\/09\/12\/the-lion-cocktail-bar-bexley\/\">opened this past summer in Bexley<\/a>, will start opening early as a coffee shop this Saturday, Feb. 1. They said they\u2019ll test their initial hours from 7-11 a.m. for the first week, before switching to regular hours of 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. (then opening at 4 p.m. with cocktails).<\/li>\n<li>This Saturday, Feb. 1 is Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day! I can certainly get behind that. <a href=\"https:\/\/jenis.com\/pages\/ice-cream-for-breakfast-day\">Jeni\u2019s Ice Creams celebrates in all of its scoop shops<\/a> from 9 a.m. to noon with specialty ice cream flavors, affogatos, and other fun. <a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2022\/05\/19\/sundaes-ice-cream-little-ladies-soft-serve-westerville\/\">Little Ladies Soft Serve<\/a>, which has been on its winter hiatus, reopens that day with new soft serve and sundae flavors, plus they\u2019re serving affogatos from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. <a href=\"https:\/\/johnsonsrealicecream.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Johnson\u2019s Real Ice Cream<\/a> is serving a breakfast sundae kit at all of its stores.<\/li>\n<li>Qamaria Yemeni Coffee Co. soft opens its third central Ohio shop today, Jan. 31, at 6181 Sawmill Rd. in Dublin. The Yemeni coffee chain is based out of eastern Michigan, and already has two stores in the Columbus area: <a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2023\/09\/06\/qamaria-yemeni-coffee-hilliard\/\">Hilliard<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2024\/05\/09\/qamaria-yemeni-coffee-lewis-center\/\">Lewis Center<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2022\/12\/19\/see-inside-hot-chicken-takeover-opens-in-grandview\/\">Hot Chicken Takeover<\/a> announced this week that it has closed its Lewis Center store at 8715 Owenfield Dr. The store opened less than two years ago.<\/li>\n<li>The Columbus-area bakery <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loverileycakes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Love Riley Cakes<\/a> will open its first storefront at 14 Dillmont Dr. near Lewis Center on Saturday, Feb. 1.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/plazapizza.com\/locations\/johnstown\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Plaza Pizza<\/a> celebrates its grand opening on Friday, Jan. 31 at 90 S. Main St. in Johnstown. The pizza shop already has locations in Newark and Heath.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecheesecakegirl.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Cheesecake Girl<\/a> announced that her stand at the Bubbly Food Hall in New Albany permanently closed this week. The market itself has faced some challenges over recent months, with turn over of many of its original market stalls. Cheesecake Girl will continue operating four other locations around central Ohio.<\/li>\n<li>On Saturday, Feb. 1, Black Kahawa coffee roaster celebrates the grand opening of their bar from 4-6 p.m. The roaster <a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2024\/12\/11\/black-kahawa-opens-full-service-coffee-shop-at-broad-and-high\/\">opened its coffee shop at Broad and High<\/a> a couple months ago, and is now debuting the bar side of the business, with features like Rhinegeist beer on draft and espresso martinis.<\/li>\n<li>A Caribbean and Jamaican stall called <a href=\"https:\/\/thejerkspotla.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Jerk Spot<\/a> will open in Budd Dairy Food Hall\u2019s Hatch incubator space on Tuesday, Feb. 4.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/columbus\/news\/2025\/01\/28\/prime-vine-in-lewis-center-closes-after-more-tha.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Business First <\/em>reported this week<\/a> that <a href=\"https:\/\/primeandvine.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Prime + Vine<\/a> butcher shop and wine bar in Lewis Center\u2019s Evans Farm development has closed.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/locations.cleaneatz.com\/oh\/columbus\/meal-prep-27.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Clean Eatz<\/a> celebrates its grand opening at 855 Goodale Blvd. at 11 a.m. today, Friday, Jan. 31.<\/li>\n<li>Aloha Aina is hosting the next edition of its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/bao-down-columbus-steamed-spiced-tickets-1225618942249\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bao Down event on Feb. 18<\/a> at Seventh Son Brewing. At the event, five area chefs compete to create the best bao buns.<\/li>\n<li>Vote for Columbus and some of its businesses in the latest USA Today 10 Best readers polls!
