In addition to the report, the NTSB also issued a pair of urgent safety recommendations to the FAA regarding the helicopter routes in the Washington DC area. We also discuss the preliminary report from the NTSB on the crash of the Medevac Learjet 55 in Philadelphia.<span id=\"more-55508\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Southwest Airlines this week announced a seismic shift in its strategy and culture as it will begin charging for checked bags in May. We discuss this and the other major changes coming to the airline.
