It was revealed in a promotional video that features a sound excerpt taken from his acceptance speech from the Youth Music Awards 2024, where he won the Grassroots Hero Award.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCreativity is a human necessity \/ It\u2019s essential \/ I can\u2019t believe that the creative arts are underfunded by the government,\u201d he said. \u201cWhen I look around the real heroes in this community are the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huckmag.com\/article\/rippa-toddla-t-ciaran-thapar-interview-rap-youth-violence\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">youth workers<\/a>, the care workers, the teachers, the organisers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read next:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.huckmag.com\/article\/jordan-stephens-i-dont-like-using-the-term-toxic-masculinity-anymore-adhd-rizzle-kicks-?next\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jordan Stephens: \u201cI don\u2019t like using the term \u2018Toxic Masculinity\u2019 anymore\u201d<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Rescue The Roots campaign was launched by Youth Music this week, with the charity hoping to raise \u00a31 million to support grassroots music ventures aimed at young people in the UK. For each \u00a31 raised up to that target figure, Youth Music will match \u00a31, with the aim of handing out \u00a32 million in total to youth organisations and young creatives.<\/p>\n<p>According to the charity, 41% of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huckmag.com\/topic\/grassroots\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">grassroots<\/a> music projects are currently at risk of closure without receiving imminent support, an increase of 17% from 2024.
