\nThe hurricane<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>or typhoon roll cake\u00a0<\/span>is baking up a storm<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>at Instagram recently as many bakers have taken up the challenge to bake this pretty roll cake with hurricane-like swirls. S<\/span>pecial t<\/span>hanks to Mary Ann San and Doris who have challenged me to bake this cake and this post is dedicated to both of you!\u00a0<\/span>\ud83d\ude18<\/span>\u2764\ufe0f<\/span>\ud83d\udc95<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe first time I made this hurricane<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>roll cake, the hurricane-like swirls didn’t turned out as nice. Here’s how it looks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As we know, practice makes perfect, so here’s my third attempt<\/span>\u00a0\ud83d\ude0a, hurricane roll cake\u00a0<\/span>in bamboo charcoal and matcha flavour which I’m rather pleased with. The cake is deliciously soft and moist!\u00a0<\/span>H<\/span>ere’s sharing the recipe and hope you have fun making it too!<\/span>

1. Weight of each egg with shell is 70g.
1. \u4e00\u7c92\u86cb\u5305\u62ec\u58f3\u7684\u91cd\u91cf\u662f70\u514b.<\/p>\n

2. You may beat the egg white for both batters together and divide accordingly.
2. \u86cb\u767d\u53ef\u4e00\u8d77\u6253\u624d\u6765\u5206\u3002<\/p>\n

\n3.\u00a0Different brand of ingredients have different composites, thus there may be a slight difference in the end result.
3. \u4e0d\u540c\u54c1\u724c\u7684\u6750\u6599\u6709\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u590d\u5408\u6750\u6599\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u6700\u7ec8\u6210\u54c1\u6709\u53ef\u80fd\u7a0d\u6709\u4e0d\u540c\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n


Method \u505a\u6cd5\uff1a<\/span><\/b>
1. Matcha Batter- Beat egg yolk & oil together before adding milk. Mix well.<\/span><\/div>\n

\n1. \u62b9\u8336\u9762\u7cca – \u86cb\u9ec4\u52a0\u5165\u6cb9\u4e00\u8d77\u6405\u62cc\u518d\u52a0\u5165\u5976\uff0c\u62cc\u5300\u3002<\/p>\n

2. Fold in sifted cake flour and matcha powder until well combined. Prepare bamboo charcoal egg yolk batter in the same manner. Set aside.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n2. \u62cc\u5165\u7b5b\u597d\u7684\u4f4e\u7b4b\u9762\u7c89\u4e0e\u62b9\u8336\u7c89\u3002\u6839\u636e\u540c\u6837\u6b65\u9aa4\u51c6\u5907\u7af9\u70ad\u9762\u7cca\u3002\u5907\u7528\u3002<\/p>\n

3. Beat egg whites and sugar till firm peak. Divide meringue and fold into the matcha egg yolk batter and bamboo charcoal egg yolk batter respectively. <\/p>\n

3. \u86cb\u767d\u4e0e\u7ec6\u7802\u7cd6\u6253\u81f3\u4e2d\u6027\u53d1\u6ce1\uff0c\u5206\u522b\u62cc\u5165\u62b9\u8336\u86cb\u9ec4\u9762\u7cca\u4e0e\u7af9\u70ad\u86cb\u9ec4\u9762\u7cca\u3002<\/p>\n

4. Pour the matcha batter onto the cake pan evenly. Pour the bamboo charcoal batter on top of the matcha batter, spread it out carefully. <\/p>\n

4. \u62b9\u8336\u9762\u7cca\u5012\u5165\u86cb\u7cd5\u70e4\u76d8\u3002\u7af9\u70ad\u9762\u7cca\u5012\u5165\u5728\u62b9\u8336\u9762\u7cca\u4e0a\uff0c\u5c0f\u5fc3\u62b9\u5e73\u3002<\/p>\n

5.Use your index finger, draw vertical lines from left to right, starting from the long side. Repeat the same for the shorter side. <\/p>\n

5.\u7528\u98df\u6307\u7531\u70e4\u76d8\u7684\u5de6\u4fa7\u5f80\u53f3\u4fa7\u753b\u6a2a\u7ebf\uff0c\u7531\u70e4\u76d8\u957f\u5904\u5f00\u59cb\u3002\u77ed\u5904\u91cd\u590d\u540c\u6837\u6b65\u9aa4\uff0c\u76f4\u5230\u6574\u4e2a\u70e4\u76d8\u90fd\u753b\u4e0a\u76f4\u7ebf\u3002<\/p>\n

6.Bake in preheated oven at 180\u00b0C for about 18 mins.\u00a0<\/span>(Please adjust temperature and timing according to your own oven.) <\/i><\/span>Cool cake slightly before assembling with your preferred filling. Chill in fridge before cutting.\u00a0<\/span>

1\/4 teaspoon fine sea salt \u6d77\u76d0
1 tbsp Uji Matcha powder \u4e8e\u6cbb\u62b9\u8336\u7c89<\/p>\n

1.Whisk egg whites and sugar in a bowl over a pot of simmering water until sugar has completely dissolved & egg whites are hot.<\/p>\n

1. \u86cb\u767d\u548c\u7cd6\u653e\u5165\u94a2\u76c6\uff0c\u9694\u6c34\u653e\u5728\u6e29\u548c\u6cb8\u817e\u7684\u9505\u91cc\uff0c\u6162\u6162\u6405\u62cc\u76f4\u5230\u7cd6\u5b8c\u5168\u6eb6\u5316\uff0c\u86cb\u767d\u716e\u70ed\u3002<\/p>\n

2.Attach the bowl to the mixer fitted with the whisk attachment and begin to whip using medium high speed until the meringue is thick, glossy, and the bottom of the bowl no longer feels warm, about 8 minutes. <\/p>\n

\n3.Switch over to paddle attachment, with mixer on low speed, add the butter cubes, one at a time, until incorporated. Continue beating until it has reached a silky smooth texture.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
