  • It was recently announced that Maaya Sakamoto\u2019s latest song, \u201cDrops,\u201d will serve as the opening theme for the upcoming TV anime Aru Majo ga Shinu Made, which begins airing on April 1. Today, it has been confirmed that the song will be released as her 36th single, and the cover artwork has also been revealed.<\/li>\n
  • The lyrics for \u201cDrops\u201d were written by Yuho Iwasato, who has collaborated with Maaya Sakamoto on many songs. The music was composed by Naoto Kiyota, an up-and-coming composer making his debut collaboration with Sakamoto, and the arrangement was handled by Shin Kono, who has been arranging Sakamoto\u2019s music for many years. This combination of familiarity and fresh talent makes for an exciting team.<\/li>\n
  • The coupling song, \u201cTwilight,\u201d features lyrics co-written by Maaya Sakamoto and Yuho Iwasato for the first time in 28 years, with composition and arrangement by Tomoya Kawasaki. This electro-style number marks a bold new direction for Sakamoto.<\/li>\n
  • The Limited First Edition comes with the Maaya Sakamoto 30th Anniversary Acrylic Stand, \u201cOmote mo Ura mo Sakamoto Maaya!\u201d (Maaya Sakamoto on the front and back!). This exclusive anniversary item features a newly photographed image of Sakamoto with the FlyingDog logo on the base.     Maaya Sakamoto<\/h2>\n

    Born in Tokyo. Active as a child actress from age eight. She made her CD debut in 1996 with the single \u201cYakusoku wa Iranai.\u201d In 2011, her album You can\u2019t catch me topped the Oricon chart. In 2013, she released Singer-Songwriter, the first album for which she wrote all the music.<\/p>\n

    In 2019, she released her 30th single \u201cUchuu no Kioku\u201d (produced by Ringo Sheena) and her 10th original album Kyou Dake no Ongaku. In 2020, she released her 25th anniversary album Single Collection+ Achikochi and the digital single \u201cYakudo,\u201d which topped the Oricon chart.<\/p>\n

    In 2021, she released her concept album Duets, which featured a variety of artists, and in the same month, she celebrated the 25th anniversary of her CD debut with a concert at Yokohama Arena, which is now on sale on Blu-ray and DVD.<\/p>\n

    In May 2022, she released the double tie-up single \u201cSumire \/ Kotoba ni Dekinai,\u201d with music written and arranged by Shigeru Kishida. In July of the same year, her radio program \u201cVitamin M,\u201d in which she has been a personality for 20 years, reached its 1,000th broadcast and entered its 21st year.<\/p>\n

    In 2023, she released her 33rd single \u201cMada Tooku ni Iru \/ un_mute.\u201d<\/p>\n

    As a lyricist, in addition to writing her own first album, she has also written many songs for other artists, including Kinki Kids\u2019 \u201cHikari no Kehai,\u201d Mamoru Miyano\u2019s \u201cToumei,\u201d and Walk\u00fcre\u2019s \u201cKaze wa Yokoku Naku Fuku,\u201d and has published her own lyrics book Shishu (Kadokawa).<\/p>\n

    She also won the 38th Kazuo Kikuta Theater Award for her performance as Jerusha in the musical Daddy-Long-Legs.<\/p>\n

    She is a voice actress, actress, lyricist, essay writer, and radio personality, and her vibrant voice has won the support of fans all over the world.<\/p>\n
