{"id":129721,"date":"2025-03-13T02:24:56","date_gmt":"2025-03-13T02:24:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/airline\/equal-skies-partnerships-for-inclusion\/"},"modified":"2025-03-13T02:24:56","modified_gmt":"2025-03-13T02:24:56","slug":"equal-skies-partnerships-for-inclusion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=129721","title":{"rendered":"Equal Skies: Partnerships for inclusion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">As founding members of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/equalskiescharter.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">E<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">qual Skies Charter<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> \u2013 created by our corporate charity partner, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerobility.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Aerobility<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> \u2013 we are committed to improving accessibility within the aviation and aerospace industries and encouraging others in the sector to do the same.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cWhen it comes to disability inclusion, nobody has a monopoly on good ideas, and therefore collaboration and shared learning are the lifeblood of the Equal Skies Charter,\u201d says Harvey Matthewson, Advocacy Manager at Aerobility.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A recent Equal Skies member meeting highlighted the group\u2019s commitment to fostering inclusivity. \u201cBy working with our partners, the wider industry and the disability community, we have created a group that shares openly, challenges each other, and advocates for real change for disabled individuals seeking fair employment within the sector,\u201d Harvey added.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The agenda was rich, with discussions ranging from diversifying STEM recruitment (science, technology, engineering and maths) to understanding disability and previewing the upcoming <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Destination Equal Skies 2025<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> conference, which will be held in April.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Annabel Honour, Head of Equality, Diversity &amp; Inclusion at STEM recruiter <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.matchtech.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Matchtech<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, provided valuable insight into effective ways to attract a more diverse talent pool into STEM roles.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cHaving the right data is essential for identifying barriers in the recruitment and hiring process and making meaningful change. In engineering and technology industries, where diversity has traditionally been a challenge, we need to break down those barriers and ensure that everyone has equal access to opportunities. By working in collaboration with our client communities and partners like Equal Skies, we can accelerate the changes we want to see.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Collaborations with partners like Matchtech highlight the importance of inclusive hiring and role-model behaviour as a basis for equality \u2013 something that is not only reflected in a recent partnership between <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gattacasolutions.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Gattaca Solutions<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> (sister-company to Matchtech) to supply skilled <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">contingent workers to NATS, but also a <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">message that is reinforced by the upcoming event \u2018<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/uk.givergy.com\/DES25\/?controller=home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Destination Equal Skies 2025<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u2019.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Building on last year\u2019s success, the upcoming conference aims to expand discussions on disability inclusion in recruitment, with keynote speeches from industry leaders, interactive workshops, and collaboration opportunities designed to inspire change.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cThe need for positive discussion about employment inclusivity is more important than ever. The Equal Skies Charter reflects this proactive approach, stimulating discussion and action through engaged partners.
