Setting it up is fun and easy!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"border: 3px solid #f90; padding: 22px; font-size: 20pt;\">\u201cRemember, we are using our charcoal grill to make super delicious smoked meat, and setting it up right is the first step to getting that yummy smoky flavor!\u201d<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Positioning the Charcoal Grill:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Let\u2019s find a nice, safe spot for our grill. We need to position the grill where it\u2019s away from things that can catch fire, like trees and bushes.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Placing the Charcoal Basket:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now, we will put our charcoal basket on one side of the grill. This is where our charcoal will go. <\/p>\n<p>Next, we are going to set up the grill vents. Vents help our grill breathe! We have to make sure they are open so the air can flow and our charcoal can get hot and ready!<\/p>\n<p>Now, it\u2019s time to light the charcoal. This is super important \u2018because it will determine the taste of your meat and also how long it will burn.<\/p>\n<p style=\"border: 3px solid #f90; padding: 22px; font-size: 20pt;\">\u201cChoosing the right charcoal is like picking the right ingredients for a cake\u2014it makes everything better!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So, we have three kinds of charcoal to choose from:<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Charcoal_Briquettes\"\/>Charcoal Briquettes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>Standard charcoal briquettes are little square blocks of charcoal. This keeps our snake burning slowly and our grill at the right temperature for a long time!<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Minion_Method\"\/>Minion Method<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>The second method is called the Minion Method. It\u2019s like having little helpers on our grill!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Layering Charcoal:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We start by putting unlit charcoal at the bottom of the grill. The lit charcoal will slowly light up the unlit ones, and this will keep our cooking time long. It means our meat gets cooked by the heat and smoke floating around inside the grill, not by direct fire.
