This is a celebration. When I see news like this I figure someone is trying to sell me something! I promise – no strings attached to this story. I simply feel grateful joy that I wish to share❤️

Gandalph arrived as a miraculous event in around 2003. A story for another day. If you look at him in perfect light you can see his magic. My kids grew up knowing he had a unicorn horn. He teaches so many lessons. End of 2020 was a hard lesson.

Two rounds of chemo and the vet visited once more with the news “- a surgical procedure in our surgery is required. We need to remove his eye”. I felt devastated.

I am the daughter of an amazing vet. An intuitive man who taught me about respect for all life forms. He had just left to be a vet in heavenly realms. He had always been my go to at times like this. I called on him for heavenly guidance…

I found some interesting alternate therapies through a great rebel. Felt like I had nothing to lose. So dived in and began what I figured would be a hit and miss. I took three weeks leave and Gandalph and I came to an understanding on how we could put burny drops in his eye six times a day and squirt two lots of yukky meds into his mouth twice a day. Three weeks later I learned that the road was longer than anticipated and so had to engage support to do the chores of medicating. Domestic assistant, handy man, groom, friends of my sons, my sons, hubby – all had to learn to be patient amd kind with the unicorn. Grace found a place in all of this and more than a year later this is what we see💥

We are nearly there. I am amazed and grateful. More for the grace I have found in this than anything else. For the faith in my intuition. For the heavenly guidance – Dad is still running this show! For the trust Gandalph has in our community of healers. For the fact that when you walk into the large paddock with the other horses he rushes to you for his treatment. For the community of people who have been invested in his healing. And for the miracle of healing.

Having said all this – and I do not belittle the magic of the healing – I am reminded to find the magic in so much that surrounds us.

Relationship with other than human is miraculous. Here’s to being a part of an ethical truth between us that is built on respect and humility.
