As the country collectively sprang forward yet again this past weekend, the seasonal milestone signaled a welcome reminder that warmer days are finally on the horizon, and patio beers are near.

Melding a classic style with New World techniques, Firestone Walker has recently introduced a trio of porch pounders that are sure to become summer staples in 2025. Mind Haze Rage builds on the popularity of the brewery’s iconic Mind Haze series through the addition of a trio of lemonade-infused turbo radler beers. Each clocking in at 8% ABV, Mind Haze Rage’s three varieties—Original Lemonade, Watermelon Lemonade and Grapefruit Lemonade—blend fresh lemonade with beer to showcase a powerful punch of juicy, sweet, fruit-forward flavors.

“Mind Haze Rage is an evolution of an age-old style, the radler. Part beer. Part lemonade,” said brewmaster Matt Brynildson. “As brewers, we’re curious tinkerers, committed to exploring where beer can go next. Mind Haze Rage is our latest result in this pursuit, and we’re thrilled to share it with the world.”

A New Spin on a Summer Favorite

The radler legend dates back to 1920s Germany. As the story goes, innkeeper Franz Xaver Kugler helped establish a bike trail from nearby Munich running through his town and conveniently alongside his tavern. In order to keep up with the demand of his newfound flood of visiting cyclists, Kugler was said to have cut his house Pilsner with sparkling lemonade, birthing the “radler,” which appropriately translates to “cyclist” in German.

Mind Haze Rage’s three high-octane radler expressions also take a more traditional approach with an innovative twist to the industry’s recent fascination with hard lemonade beverages. Weighing in at 8% ABV, Mind Haze Rage allows Firestone Walker to compete with the boozier, fruit-forward beverage category while still remaining true to its roots. On the other side of the coin, the Mind Haze Rage radlers also showcase the continued diversity of the Mind Haze brand.

After first launching Mind Haze IPA in 2019, the Firestone Walker team has since spun off Mind Haze Brain Melter and Mind Haze Cosmic Crusher. Now, Mind Haze Rage takes the brand to uncharted territory, appealing to those seeking bold flavors and high ABV in a unique radler format.
