{"id":127565,"date":"2025-03-12T03:09:57","date_gmt":"2025-03-12T03:09:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/aerospace\/sean-duffy-to-visit-boeing-facility-for-firsthand-check-up\/"},"modified":"2025-03-12T03:09:57","modified_gmt":"2025-03-12T03:09:57","slug":"sean-duffy-to-visit-boeing-facility-for-firsthand-check-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=127565","title":{"rendered":"Sean Duffy to visit Boeing facility for \u2018firsthand\u2019 check-up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The US Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary Sean Duffy will drop in at Boeing\u2019s Renton facility this week for what he describes as a \u201cfirsthand look\u201d at the beleaguered planemaker.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Secretary Duffy will travel to Seattle, Washington, on March 13, 2025, where he will spend time with trainees at Boeing\u2019s educational campus before a scheduled factory visit.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will be traveling to Seattle to visit Boeing\u2019s training campus and factory to get a firsthand look at their planes to ensure their planes are maintaining the highest level of safety standards,\u201d said Secretary Duffy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-1\"\/>\n<p>The Trump administration has been resolute in its ambitions to ensure that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerotime.aero\/tag\/boeing\" title=\"\">Boeing<\/a> is raising its safety standards after a torrid 2024, with began with an incident on January 5, 2024, when a door plug separated from an Alaska Airlines 737 MAX 9 mid-flight.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/aerospace-defense\/us-transportation-chief-meet-with-boeing-safety-efforts-2025-03-11\/\" title=\"\">Reuters<\/a>, Secretary Duffy will travel with the acting Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) leader, Chris Rocheleau, to Washington, where they are expected to meet the Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Secretary Duffy announced the visit after he marked the six years since an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 8 crashed on March 10, 2019.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-2\"\/>\n<p>\u201cWe lost 157 people, including eight Americans. We remember their lives today and remain committed to ensuring such tragedies never happen again,\u201d wrote Secretary Duffy on social media.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cUS DOT never forgets victims. I met with several families of the passengers of flight 302 on February 25th.
