I read all of them. I am always looking for good stories and great writing. According to a recent piece at <em>Inside Higher Ed<\/em>, colleges and universities throughout the country are investing in their alumni magazines.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.insidehighered.com\/opinion\/blogs\/call-action\/2025\/02\/27\/your-alumni-magazine-source-marketing-gold\">Here<\/a> is Caroline Collier, the editor of Texas Christian University\u2019s alumni magazine:<\/p>\n<p><em>In a time of skyrocketing paper and postage costs, alumni magazines are paradoxically enjoying a renaissance. After cutting back\u2014or cutting down\u2014print issues during the pandemic, many institutions are now pushing for expanded page counts, more copies, better photography, multimedia extras and more institutional support.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Why?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Because audiences appreciate the thought-provoking content and the tangible, premium reminder of the enduring connection with their alma mater. In a 2024 CASE readership survey, 68\u00a0percent of\u00a0<\/em>TCU Magazine\u2019<em>s readers reported spending 30 minutes or more with every issue. Almost half reported that the magazine was a go-to source for continuing education.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Journalists are pouring their passion and experience into institutional magazines because higher education shines glimmers of hope into an increasingly dark world. They highlight purpose-driven students who will tackle the problems of the future and brilliant faculty whose research is providing innovative solutions to the planet\u2019s most pressing challenges.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Our readership analytics at\u00a0<\/em>TCU Magazine\u00a0<em>have long shown a strong audience appetite for well-researched and carefully written and edited feature stories about forward momentum and its relationship to education. Since 2015, our overall page views have experienced an astounding 1,300\u00a0percent growth. That number sounds outlandish, but I can assure you it is accurate.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Our alumni, parents, donors and internal stakeholders are and always have been the primary audiences.
