Chillax or challenge yourself, it\u2019s up to you!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So what\u2019s on?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a class=\"fasc-button fasc-size-small fasc-type-flat fasc-style-bold\" style=\"background-color: #000000;color: #ffffff\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/events.humanitix.com\/explorerfest-2025\">Get Your Tickets<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Kayaking<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We\u2019ve teamed up with local guiding company <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lazy Paddles <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">who\u2019ll be bringing a fleet of kayaks to the festival. Guided trips will run in Port Stephens Bay, which is regularly visited by dolphins!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Expect stellar views as you look out to the ocean past the twin mountain headlands of Yacaaba and Tomaree. There\u2019ll be a range of routes available, so whether you\u2019re a first timer or total gym-rat, expect a challenge (and a beaut bird\u2019s eye view of the festival).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The wall can take four people at once, so channel your speed climbing skills and race them to the top?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_168287\" style=\"width: 1034px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-168287\" class=\"wp-image-168287 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/ek5jbm9x6ox.exactdn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/11165942\/sky-high-climbing-walls-for-hire-1024x1024.jpg?lossy=1&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-168287\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Base Zero monolith is coming to ExplorerFest!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Hiking<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We\u2019ve teamed up with Paddy Pallin to host a range of hikes over the ExplorerFest weekend to cater to everyone!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Guided Mt Yacaaba Hike<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Yacaaba Headland stands tall over Worimi Country and looks back over the remote townships of Hawks Nest and Tea Gardens. Beautiful angophoras, grass trees, and gnarled banksias cover the mountain and lace monitors cling to the trees.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We\u2019ll be running a series of guided hikes along the beach and up Yacaaba to the viewing point, learning about Country along the way. Dial in your navigation skills and get some tips on how to improve. Your map and compass won\u2019t know what hit them!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Beach 4WDing<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bennetts Beach runs north for kilometres and short of trekking over the dune system, much of it is only really accessible by 4WD.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So we\u2019ve teamed up with the crew at Jeep who are bringing some of their newest 4WDs to ExplorerFest! We\u2019re bringing Alyssa Flannery from Pilates on Surfside to ExplorerFest to run a series of pilates classes out in the open air. Hilary from For Wild Places will be along to host trail runs up to Yacaaba Headland to the viewpoint (if you don\u2019t mind a climb) and beach runs for all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We might even cut a hot lap of Hawks Nest \u2013 you\u2019ll pass two beaches and a river in a 6km loop!
