Give this easy to make Long Lasting Fruit Cocktail Salad a try! A combination of\u00a0\u00a0 citrus fruits with the addition of grapes will last for up to a week in your refrigerator. Make a batch of the fruit salad over the weekend and enjoy it all week long when you are craving a low calorie dessert!<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Grapes<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Choose seedless grapes, and slice large ones in half.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Oranges<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Use seedless mandarin oranges, such as clementines. Canned mandarins also work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pineapple<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Either fresh fruit or canned pineapple tidbits or chunks are good in this salad.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How to make a Fruit Cocktail Salad<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 cantaloupe<\/li>\n<li>2 mangos<\/li>\n<li>2 grapefruits<\/li>\n<li>4 oranges<\/li>\n<li>2 cups grapes<\/li>\n<li>1 pineapple- cut into chunks<\/li>\n<li>2 cups strawberries<\/li>\n<li>2 cups orange juice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I<strong>nstructions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Prepare the fruit by rinsing it off first.<\/li>\n<li>Cut the pineapple and remove the core and rind. Then, cut fruit into 1 inch chunks.<\/li>\n<li>Slice cantaloupe in half and remove seeds. Cut rind off of cantaloupe, then cut fruit into 1 inch chunks.<\/li>\n<li>Peel Mango, then cut it into 1 inch chunks.<\/li>\n<li>Peel the citrus fruits and remove the white skin of the fruit. Using a very sharp knife, remove the segment by passing the blade on each side of the fruit membrane.<\/li>\n<li>Cut the grapes in half.<\/li>\n<li>Cut the stems from the strawberries and cut in half<\/li>\n<li>Place all the fruit in a large bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the orange juice on top of fruit and mix gently.<\/li>\n<li>Cover and refrigerate until ready to eat.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Option: add sliced banana before serving.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"storage\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Storage<\/h3>\n<p>This salad keeps well, covered, in the refrigerator for two or three days. If there is banana in the leftovers, however, the salad is still quite edible.
