{"id":122051,"date":"2025-03-09T11:47:48","date_gmt":"2025-03-09T11:47:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/aerospace\/diamond-aircraft-may-acquire-volocopter-aerotime\/"},"modified":"2025-03-09T11:47:48","modified_gmt":"2025-03-09T11:47:48","slug":"diamond-aircraft-may-acquire-volocopter-aerotime","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=122051","title":{"rendered":"Diamond Aircraft may acquire Volocopter- AeroTime"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The Volocopter insolvency saga may not be over, just yet.\u00a0Just days <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerotime.aero\/articles\/volocopter-lays-off-its-entire-workforce-as-insolvency-proceedings-go-ahead\" title=\"\">after laying off all of its entire staff <\/a>and entering insolvency proceedings, the troubled German eVTOL developer may have found a new investor.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>German financial media outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wiwo.de\/unternehmen\/industrie\/flugtaxi-start-up-volocopter-findet-doch-noch-kaeufer\/30244374.html\" title=\"\">WirtschaftsWoche\u00a0has reported<\/a> that Austria-based, Chinese-owned Diamond Aircraft may be interested in acquiring Volocopter.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Although based in Carinthia, in southern Austria, Diamond Aircraft is owned by Wanfeng Aviation Industry, which is, itself, a subsidiary\u00a0of Wanfeng Auto Holding Group, a large Chinese automotive group.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-1\"\/>\n<p>Diamond Aircraft is one of the world\u2019s largest manufacturers of light aircraft, with its DA40 training aircraft being particularly popular in the flight school market. The Austrian firm is also working on an electric version of this aircraft, which it calls eDA40.
