Here\u2019s the latest:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yogiscolumbus.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Yogi\u2019s Bar &amp; Grill<\/a> is getting ready to open its fourth location next week Thursday, March 6. Their new Grandview store is located at 955 W. Fifth Ave. in the old Rye River Social space; it joins two Yogi\u2019s near Dublin and one on Henderson Road on the Northwest side.<\/li>\n<li>Yesterday, <a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2022\/07\/21\/brunch-returns-to-ghostwriter-public-house\/\">Ghostwriter Public House<\/a> in Johnstown announced abruptly that it has closed. No exact reasons for the closure were given. Ghostwriter first opened in 2019, and had closed for a couple weeks this past December for a revamp of the space and menu. <\/li>\n<li>Also starting on Thursday, March 6 <a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2022\/11\/10\/chef-sebastian-la-rocca-brings-fyr-to-the-new-hilton-tower\/\">FYR in the Hilton downtown<\/a> transforms for a limited time to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fyrshortnorth.com\/experiences\/fyr-italy\">FYR Italy<\/a>, with a specialized menu that hearkens back to chef Sebastian la Rocca\u2019s Italian roots.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/johnsonsrealicecream.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Johnson\u2019s Real Ice Cream<\/a> kicks off its big 2025 expansions with the opening of a Powell shop next week Thursday, March 6. The new store is located at 4290 Home Rd. (by the <a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2025\/02\/10\/parlor-doughnuts-and-its-layered-donuts-arrive-in-powell\/\">new Parlor Doughnuts<\/a>). They\u2019ll be offering free scoops that night from 6-9 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>A new sushi restaurant called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/thebluesushi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Blue Sushi<\/a> opened up recently at 1436 Gemini Pl. near Polaris.<\/li>\n<li>This Saturday, March 1, the new owners take over the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hillsmarketdowntown\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hills Market downtown<\/a> and rename it Charmy\u2019s Market. Sherry and Rezi Bayegan, owners of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.charmyspersiantaste.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Charmy\u2019s Persian Taste<\/a>, are familiar faces around the market already; they\u2019ve been operating out of the market\u2019s kitchens for years. They said they plan to expand the market\u2019s offerings, including international dishes, hot foods, and grab-and-go items.<\/li>\n<li>This is the weekend of some big closings, too. <a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2014\/08\/29\/blocks-bagels-columbus-oh\/\">Block\u2019s Bagels<\/a> is closing its last original store at 6115 McNaughten Rd. after business this Sunday, March 2. The decision was announced earlier this month. Over recent years Block\u2019s other stores were sold and are now Fox\u2019s Bagels &amp; Deli. Block\u2019s founder Hal Block also passed away last month at the age of 91. The Block family said they hope to continue the deli\u2019s legacy in some way, although they haven\u2019t shared any specific plans.<\/li>\n<li>This is also the last weekend of the <a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2019\/03\/26\/grill-skillet-columbus\/\">Grill &amp; Skillet<\/a> diner on East Main Street. After more than 40 years in business, it\u2019ll close on Sunday, March 2.<\/li>\n<li>Tim Hoffman, the owner of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecoffeemess.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Coffee Mess<\/a>, shared that the roastery is under new ownership starting this week.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2020\/03\/17\/one-line-coffee-franklinton\/\">One Line Coffee in Franklinton<\/a> said that they are discontinuing their made-to-order breakfast menu and their draft beer program effective Saturday, March 1. They said they\u2019ll focus instead on pastries baked at each location, with a larger revamp launched at the end of March. In addition, they\u2019ll be adding a slow bar to the coffee experience at the Franklinton shop.<\/li>\n<li>The Columbus location of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ontheborder.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">On the Border Mexican Grill &amp; Cantina<\/a> at 4175 Morse Crossing has closed.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/flavorandfire.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Flavor &amp; Fire<\/a> hot sauce purveyor has closed its North Market Downtown stall and its Uptown Westerville storefronts. Its hot sauces are still available online, for local pickups at their production facility, and through various restaurants.<\/li>\n<li>Last week Brandon Bir of <a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastwithnick.com\/2019\/11\/19\/crimson-cup-coffee-house-clintonville-columbus-oh\/\">Crimson Cup Coffee<\/a> took home the award of Overall Champion at Golden Bean World Series Roasters competition!<\/li>\n<li>And don\u2019t forget that next week Tuesday, March 4 is Mardi Gras.
