The first foldable iPhone<\/a> is set to arrive in 2026 according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo<\/a>,\u00a0and it\u2019s going to be ultra-premium, both in design and price. Expect it to cost over $2,000 which would make it one of Apple\u2019s priciest iPhones yet.<\/p>\n The foldable iPhone will feature a 7.8-inch inner display and a 5.5-inch outer screen, making it similar to an iPad mini when unfolded.<\/p>\n Apple is focusing on a crease-free display<\/a>, something most other foldables struggle with. The phone will also be super thin\u2014just 4.5mm when unfolded and 9.5mm when folded, beating most foldables on the market today.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Due to the thin design, Face ID won\u2019t make the cut. Instead, Touch ID is coming back via a side button sensor, similar to what\u2019s on the iPad Air. This will make it the first iPhone without a home button to use fingerprint recognition.<\/p>\n Expect a dual-camera setup, with a front-facing camera that works whether the phone is open or closed. The stainless steel and titanium alloy hinge will add durability to the device\u2019s premium build.<\/p>\n Apple plans to mass-produce the foldable iPhone in late 2025, with an initial batch of 3-5 million units for 2026. Sales could reach 20 million units by 2027, including a second-gen model.<\/p>\n Oh, and Apple isn\u2019t stopping here.
