Solana (SOL<\/a>) co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko opposes the idea of the US establishing a crypto strategic reserve.<\/p>\n In a post on the social media platform X, Yakovenko cites<\/a> why he does not support Donald Trump\u2019s decision to create a national reserve of digital assets, a move that the President says<\/a> will ensure the US becomes the \u201ccrypto capital of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cMy reserve order of preference:<\/em><\/p>\n No reserve, because if you want decentralization to fail you\u2019d put the government in charge of it.<\/em><\/p>\n Or states run their own reserve as a hedge against the Fed making a mistake.<\/em><\/p>\n Or if there has to be a reserve, it\u2019s based on objectively measurable requirements. I don\u2019t care what they are, they can even be constructed such that only Bitcoin satisfies them right now, they just must be objectively measurable and rationally justified.
