These changes aim to align Canada\u2019s immigration system with current labor market demands. The most significant updates include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Education professionals are now prioritized<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 More teaching and support roles added.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Healthcare occupations expanded<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Additional medical and social service jobs included.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Trades category grows<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 More construction, skilled trades, and food service jobs now eligible.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Transport category removed<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 No more priority for truck drivers and related jobs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>STEM occupations cut back<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 Nineteen occupations removed, leaving a smaller list.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For Filipinos in Canada, these updates present new opportunities and challenges. To qualify for an Express Entry category-based draw, candidates must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0You must have at least 6 months of full-time, continuous work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work) within the last 3 years.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your work experience must be in <\/span><b>one occupation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from the list of eligible NOC codes below.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your experience can be gained in Canada or abroad.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you meet these requirements, and your job falls under one of the priority categories, you may have a higher chance of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency under the category-based Express Entry draws.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Education Category Added \u2013 More Opportunities for Filipino Teachers and Assistants<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the first time, education professionals have been added to Express Entry\u2019s category-based draws.
