Customize Your Lead Generation Form<\/strong><\/p>\n Once you select your template, WPForms will open the design in its drag-and-drop editor. It\u2019s now ready for you to customize!<\/p>\n To edit a built-in field, simply click to select it in the live preview. <\/p>\n The left-hand menu will then display all the settings you can use to edit that field, such as changing the label, adding a description, and marking the field as \u2018required.\u2019<\/p>\n Want to delete a field instead?<\/p>\n Then simply hover over it in the live preview and click the trashcan icon when it appears.\u00a0<\/p>\n When WPForms asks whether you want to permanently delete that field, go ahead and click on the \u2018OK\u2019 button. <\/p>\n You may have already noticed that the left-hand menu contains more fields that you can add to your form. <\/p>\n When you find a field you want to use, simply drag it from the left-hand menu and drop it onto the live preview.<\/p>\n You can then click to select this field in the live preview and configure it using the settings in the left-hand menu.<\/p>\n Simply keep repeating these steps until you\u2019re happy with how the form is set up.\u00a0<\/p>\n Step 5. Enable WPForms Referral Tracking<\/strong><\/p>\n The next step is to activate referral tracking<\/a> so you can see where your new leads are coming from.<\/p>\n To do this, click \u2018Settings\u2019 in the left-hand menu and then select \u2018AffiliateWP.\u2019<\/p>\n Now, click the \u2018Enable Referrals\u2019 switch so it turns blue.<\/p>\n With that done, open the new \u2018Referral type\u2019 dropdown and select \u2018Lead.\u2019<\/p>\n That\u2019s it!\u00a0<\/p>\n You can now click the \u2018Save\u2019 button in the toolbar to store your changes.\u00a0<\/p>\n Step 6. Publish Your Form<\/strong><\/p>\n With that done, you\u2019re ready to add the lead generation form to your WordPress website. You can either embed it<\/a> in an existing page, create a new page, or embed your form using the WPForms block.\u00a0<\/p>\n Since it\u2019s the first thing potential new leads will see, you may want to place the form on its own page. For example, you might create a dedicated landing page<\/a> using a plugin like SeedProd<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n To add the form to an existing page, select the \u2018Embed\u2019 button in the toolbar and then click on \u2018Select Existing Page.\u2019<\/p>\n In the popup window that appears, open the dropdown menu and choose the page you want to use.<\/p>\n Then, click \u2018Let\u2019s Go!\u2019<\/p>\n Do you want to create a new page instead? Once again, click on the \u2018Embed\u2019 button. <\/p>\n But this time, select \u2018Create a New Page.\u2019<\/p>\n In the popup that appears, type in a name for this new page and then click \u2018Let\u2019s Go!\u2019<\/p>\n This will take you to the WordPress content editor<\/a> with the form already embedded.<\/p>\n You can now add other content to this page, fine-tune the design, and make any other changes as normal. When you\u2019re ready, either publish or update the page to make it live on your site.\u00a0<\/p>\n Another option is embedding the form using the WPForms block. This is a good option if you want to control exactly where the form appears on the page, such as midway through a blog post or directly beneath a nice header.<\/p>\n Simply open the page or post where you want to display the form. Then, click on the plus \u2018+\u2019 icon.<\/p>\n In the popup that appears, type \u2018WPForms\u2019 to find the right block.
