Today\u2019s whisky comes to The Murder Table courtesy of our dear friend, Rob. It\u2019s a cask strength (Batch 4 to be more precise) Highland Park<\/a> Whisky that landed in the #2 slot on Whisky Advocate\u2019s 2023 best whiskies list.<\/p>\n

Here are a few words about this whisky from the High Park Distillery website<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Our fourth release has been matured predominantly in first-fill sherry seasoned European oak casks, along with first-fill sherry seasoned American oak casks, a small quantity of refill casks, ex-bourbon casks and \u2013 for the first time \u2013 ex-port casks too. Bottled straight from the cask, without the addition of water to reduce alcohol content, our Cask Strength series marries the traditional craft of whisky making with a modern approach to flavour exploration.<\/em><\/p>\n
