{"id":116819,"date":"2025-03-07T02:44:56","date_gmt":"2025-03-07T02:44:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/aerospace\/air-new-zealand-ceo-greg-foran-to-step-down-after-five-years\/"},"modified":"2025-03-07T02:44:56","modified_gmt":"2025-03-07T02:44:56","slug":"air-new-zealand-ceo-greg-foran-to-step-down-after-five-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=116819","title":{"rendered":"Air New Zealand CEO Greg Foran to step down after five years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Air New Zealand\u2019s Greg Foran announced that he is stepping down from his role as Chief Executive in October 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The airline\u2019s chair, Dame Therese Walsh confirmed the news in a press statement, noting that Foran has indicated to the board that he believes the carrier is set up well to continue its growth, and that \u201cthe time is right for him to take on a new challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Air New Zealand paid credit to Foran\u2019s five-year service as CEO.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-1\"\/>\n<p>\u201cGreg has always displayed exceptional leadership and grit, not only guiding Air New Zealand through global aviation\u2019s most significant crisis, but at the same time also maintaining the airline\u2019s tradition of innovation, strong culture and care for our country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Walsh said Foran\u2019s most notable contribution was managing significant global supply chain challenges which began during the COVID-19 pandemic and is still currently impacting the airline\u2019s Airbus and Boeing fleet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile these challenges impact our operations almost daily, Greg\u2019s relentless focus, and global profile, have been instrumental in mitigating the consequential disruptions on our customers,\u201d Walsh said.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-2\"\/>\n<p>\u201cLeading Air New Zealand has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. It\u2019s been an incredible experience alongside an exceptional team. I\u2019m incredibly proud of what we\u2019ve achieved together and the way we\u2019ve positioned Air New Zealand for the future,\u201d Foran said in reflection of his five-year career with the airline.<\/p>\n<p>Foran started with Air New Zealand as Chief Executive Officer in February 2020, coming from Walmart US where he served as CEO from 2014 to 2019.
