According to police reports, the incident began when Wilhoite dropped someone off at Denver International Airport on Sunday afternoon. While doing so, he left his 2021 Ford Bronco unattended in the East arrivals section.

A Denver Police Department officer, who was assigned to monitor curb traffic, noticed the unattended vehicle and approached Wilhoite, informing him that he could not leave his vehicle there.

The Attempted Escape and Taser Deployment

After the alleged punch, Wilhoite reportedly tried to leave the scene. The officer, now on the ground and injured, used a Taser in an attempt to stop Wilhoite from escaping.

The Taser appeared to have an initial effect, momentarily incapacitating the coach. However, reports indicate that once the effects of the Taser wore off, Wilhoite managed to get into his SUV and drive away.

Police later tracked him down and arrested him. Wilhoite was booked into the downtown Denver jail, facing charges of second-degree assault on a police officer, a serious offense that could lead to significant legal consequences.
