Think about a person named Patty. Odds are you’re picturing either Patti Mayonnaise or a cafeteria lady. Who you’re not imagining is the late, great St. Patrick. Somehow people still manage to butcher the shortening of his name, though. This year, Tullamore D.E.W. has called in the big guns to make a mockery so delicious that no one will be confused again.

Introducing, the St. Paddy’s Day Patty. One of my favorite Irish whiskeys, Tullamore D.E.W., has partnered with acclaimed butcher Pat LaFrieda to concoct an Irish whiskey-inspired burger patty to raise awareness for cancer that is erroneous spelling.

“Every March, we produce around 5 million burger patties, so when Tullamore D.E.W. came to us to help teach Americans about the proper spelling between Patty and Paddy, we knew we could help.

They’re selling a total of 193 St. Paddy’s Day Patty kits to commemorate 193 years of Tullamore D.E.W. The kit is a perfect pairing of whiskey-inspired burgers and whiskey itself, plus a few fun extras.
