Our CEO, Priscilla McKinney, was a guest on Taran Agarwal’s podcast, Simplify Tech Talk, to discuss AI integration, her background in business and networking, and her book, Collaboration is the New Competition.

Together they discuss AI’s role in the future of market research and data analysis and its integration into everyday life, such as Google searches and chatbots like Chat GPT. They highlight its role in sparking creativity and accelerating idea generation, arguing against waiting for AI to be perfected before implementation and drawing parallels with other technological advancements. Why? Because AI, in all of its imperfections, is a tool that enhances human capabilities rather than replaces them. For example, AI helps market researchers quickly find relevant information from past studies, which should encourage businesses to embrace these tools while addressing inherent biases and ethical considerations.

“Let AI do the heavy lifting and bring the right pieces to you,” Priscilla explains. “Now let [a worker] who is highly skilled sort through it. It is going to enable those jobs in a very powerful way.”

Priscilla also explains that her international background enriched her perspective on business collaboration and networking. From her time living in Spain, attending boarding school in Germany and experiencing four high schools across three different countries, this diverse upbringing exposed her to various cultures and beliefs inherently hidden, allowing her to understand the deep-seated cultural and psychological factors that influence consumer behavior and shape effective collaboration frameworks.

Networking beyond one’s immediate field and making diverse connections sets the stage for more success at tackling complex challenges. In business, you may not know what is coming next, which is why it’s paramount to be connected to someone who does. And as further explained in Collaboration is the New Competition, Priscilla underscores the value of cross-industry pollination of ideas and the development of strong collaboration skills.
