{"id":108791,"date":"2025-02-25T08:42:14","date_gmt":"2025-02-25T08:42:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/aerospace\/russia-launches-267-drones-in-largest-attack-on-ukraine\/"},"modified":"2025-02-25T08:42:14","modified_gmt":"2025-02-25T08:42:14","slug":"russia-launches-267-drones-in-largest-attack-on-ukraine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=108791","title":{"rendered":"Russia launches 267 drones in largest attack on Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Russia carried out its biggest drone attack of the war against Ukraine, launching 267 drones overnight, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The attack took place on the night of February 23, 2025, on the eve of the third anniversary of Russia\u2019s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a statement posted on <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/kpszsu\/29327\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Telegram<\/a>, the Ukrainian Air Force said the attack involved 267 Shahed-type strike drones and various imitator drones coming from multiple locations, including Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, Shatalovo, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, Chauda in Crimea, and included three Iskander-M\/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Crimea.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-1\"\/>\n<p>The attack impacted the regions of Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Poltava, Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia. The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups from the Ukrainian Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the statement continued. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As of February 24, 2025, 08:00 local time, it was confirmed that 138 Shahed and other types of attack drones had been shot down. The Ukrainian Air Force noted that 119 enemy imitator drones were lost, with three heading towards Belarus and one towards Russia.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On February 23, 2025, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy\u00a0posted a statement on <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ZelenskyyUa\/status\/1893589416465035352\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">X<\/a>\u00a0in which he said that the Ukrainian people continue to \u201cstand against aerial terror\u201d. Zelenskyy described the attack as \u201cthe largest attack since Iranian drones began striking Ukrainian cities and villages.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-2\"\/>\n<p>The Ukrainian President expressed gratitude to \u201ceveryone who repels such attacks on a daily basis\u2014our aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces. I also thank those on the ground who save lives and respond to the aftermath of shelling\u2014the State Emergency Service, medics, and the National Police.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe war continues,\u201d he added. \u201cEveryone capable of helping with air defense must work to enhance the protection of human life.
