Morning with Molly | My Shetland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Oh crikey, where to begin.<\/p>\n<p>Last night I received a message asking me if I wanted to come over to photograph Molly, the otter featured in the National Geographic film \u201cBilly &amp; Molly: An Otter Love Story\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>I said yes please, set my alarm an hour early to get horse\/pony\/sheep chores done and was there like a shot, big camera at the ready.<\/p>\n<p>I parked my car on the shoreline and waited\u2026..<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-76865\" src=\"https:\/\/myshetland.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG_5267.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\"\/><\/p>\n<p>and waited\u2026\u2026<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-76864\" src=\"https:\/\/myshetland.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/BN2A9684.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>and waited \u2013 though I saw two beautiful swans fly past.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-76863\" src=\"https:\/\/myshetland.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/BN2A9659.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>And waited and was beginning to think, 3 hours later, that perhaps this wasn\u2019t Molly\u2019s morning.\u00a0 Apparently she was becoming increasingly sporadic with her visits.\u00a0 I honestly didn\u2019t mind, though, I had a lovely time just enjoying the scenery.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-76862\" src=\"https:\/\/myshetland.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/BN2A9688.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>I took a few photos of my surroundings, getting ready to go home.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-76861\" src=\"https:\/\/myshetland.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/BN2A9690.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>And then two beautiful swans pitched up so I contented myself with photos of them, thinking to myself that they would do.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-76860\" src=\"https:\/\/myshetland.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/BN2A9692.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"\/> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-76859\" src=\"https:\/\/myshetland.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/BN2A9716.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>But then a little someone appeared.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-76858\" src=\"https:\/\/myshetland.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/BN2A9728.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>And we were off\u2026..<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-76867\" src=\"https:\/\/myshetland.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/BN2A9813.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Molly came out from under the pontoon and sped over to her house\/bedroom.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-76857\" src=\"https:\/\/myshetland.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/BN2A9734.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>I sighed, thinking this would be the last I saw of her and it was brief, but well, at least I had seen her.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-76856\" src=\"https:\/\/myshetland.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/BN2A9737.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>But no, Molly came out height=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Molly is beautiful and very special.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-76843\" src=\"https:\/\/myshetland.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/BN2A9797.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Billy brought Molly some pieces of fresh fish which she quickly
