{"id":107065,"date":"2025-02-24T12:13:58","date_gmt":"2025-02-24T12:13:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/aerospace\/flydubai-sees-best-ever-results-as-pre-tax-profits-surge-16\/"},"modified":"2025-02-24T12:13:58","modified_gmt":"2025-02-24T12:13:58","slug":"flydubai-sees-best-ever-results-as-pre-tax-profits-surge-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=107065","title":{"rendered":"flydubai sees best-ever results as pre-tax profits surge 16%"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Low-cost carrier flydubai is celebrating its best-ever financial results in its 15-year history as pre-tax profits surged by 16%.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On February 24, 2025, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerotime.aero\/tag\/flydubai\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" rel=\"follow\">flydubai<\/a> confirmed that pre-tax profits reached AED 2.5 billion ($674 million) for the financial year ending December 31, 2024.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Total revenue hit AED 12.8 billion ($3.5 billion), marking an increase of 15% compared to AED 11.2 billion ($3 billion) in the previous year.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-1\"\/>\n<p>The Chairman of flydubai, and the CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emirates.com\/\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\">Emirates<\/a>, Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, described the latest results as a \u201cmilestone\u201d for the airline as it \u201ccontinues to push boundaries\u201d each year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn its young, but impactful, journey, it has emerged as a key player in the aviation industry in Dubai and the region. Its business model is built on solid foundations and an unwavering commitment to supporting Dubai\u2019s economic and tourism vision,\u201d said Al Maktoum.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cflydubai is well-placed for continued growth and success in the next chapter of its journey as it expands its horizons and operations, continues to invest in innovation and delivers an enhanced customer experience over the coming years.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-2\"\/>\n<p>flydubai reported a year-on-year increase of 15% in its EBITDA at AED 4.1 billion ($1.1 billion) and an 11% rise in passenger numbers to 15.4 million in 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The flydubai fleet increased to 88 aircraft by the close of 2024 with four Boeing 737 MAX 8s delivered in the first six months that were part of backlog from previous years.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cflydubai did not receive any of the aircraft that were contractually scheduled to be delivered in 2024 due to ongoing challenges with Boeing\u2019s delivery schedule,\u201d the airline said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-3\"\/>\n<p>flydubai currently has 127 Boeing 737 aircraft scheduled to be delivered over the next decade in addition to 30 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, following its first wide-body aircraft order.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO at flydubai, said the airline was \u201clooking forward to another positive performance this year where we have laid strong foundations for further growth\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur strategic plans are highly influenced by the manufacturer\u2019s ability to deliver on their promise to bring the aircraft delivery schedules back on track and clear the backlog. flydubai will receive 12 new Boeing 737s in 2025 to continue growing its fleet, replace some of its existing aircraft and support its network expansion plans,\u201d said Al Ghaith\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"cnvs-block-posts
