This makes it feel like you’re talking to your viewers face-to-face, just like you would with a friend. If you look at the screen or somewhere else, it can make your video feel awkward and disconnected. Imagine talking to someone who’s looking at your forehead instead of your eyes. Weird, right? That’s how your viewers feel if you don’t look into the lens.

Always remember to make eye contact with the lens to create a personal connection with your audience. This simple trick can make a huge difference in how your viewers feel about your videos.

We’ve all seen it on YouTube—creators leaving comments on popular videos, asking people to check out their own channels. This is called spamming comments, and it’s not a good idea. Instead of promoting your channel this way, try to engage in real conversations.

When you spam comments, it can annoy people and make them less likely to visit your channel. Plus, it doesn’t build a real connection with viewers. You want people to find your channel because they like what you have to say, not because you asked them to check it out.

So, what should you do instead? Here are some tips:

By doing this, people will naturally become curious about you and might check out your channel on their own. Remember, it’s about building a community, not just getting views.

Engaging with other channels’ content in a meaningful way can help you grow your own audience without annoying anyone.

In the end, it’s better to have a few loyal viewers who really enjoy your content than a bunch of people who clicked on your channel out of curiosity and never came back. So, focus on being genuine and adding value, and you’ll see better results.

Creating a good video title is super important for your YouTube channel. If your title is bad or confusing, people might not click on your video. A good title should be clear and easy to understand. It should tell people exactly what your video is about.

One common mistake new YouTubers make is copying titles from popular YouTubers. This might not work for you because your audience is different. Instead, try to make your titles unique and interesting. Think about what would make you want to click on a video.

Another mistake is using your channel’s name in the title. This doesn’t help people find your video. Instead, use searchable content in the first part of your title. This means using words that people might type into the search bar when looking for videos like yours.

Remember, your title is the first thing people see. Make it count!

Here are some tips to help you create better titles:

By following these tips, you can avoid common pitfalls for new YouTubers and help your channel grow. Good titles can make a big difference in getting more views and subscribers.

Being inconsistent means not posting videos regularly. To grow your channel, you need to post videos on a regular schedule. It’s better to post one video a week for ten weeks than to post ten videos in one week and then disappear for the next nine weeks.

When you don’t post regularly, your audience might forget about you. Plus, YouTube’s algorithm favors channels that upload consistently. So, if you want to keep your viewers and attract new ones, stick to a schedule.

Here are some tips to stay consistent:

Remember, consistency is key to building and maintaining your audience. Don’t let life get in the way of your YouTube dreams. If you need to take a break, try to have some videos ready to go so you don’t leave your viewers hanging.

When you start a YouTube video, the first few seconds are super important. This is the time when people decide if they want to keep watching or click away. Many new YouTubers make the mistake of having weak intros. Sometimes, they make their intros too long or don’t even include one at all. You need to grab your viewer’s attention right away.

Here are some tips to make your intros stronger:

Remember, your intro sets the tone for the rest of your video. Make it count!

By following these tips, you can avoid the mistake of having a weak intro and keep your viewers hooked from the start.
