{"id":104238,"date":"2025-02-22T23:59:41","date_gmt":"2025-02-22T23:59:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/alcohol\/popular-london-pub-set-to-reopen-after-1m-strategic-greene-king-investment\/"},"modified":"2025-02-22T23:59:41","modified_gmt":"2025-02-22T23:59:41","slug":"popular-london-pub-set-to-reopen-after-1m-strategic-greene-king-investment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=104238","title":{"rendered":"POPULAR LONDON PUB SET TO REOPEN AFTER \u00a31M STRATEGIC GREENE KING INVESTMENT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<p>Popular London pub, the Railway \u2013 located on Liverpool St close to the iconic station \u2013 is set to reopen next week following a \u00a31m strategic investment from owners Greene King.<\/p>\n<p>The investment has been designed to transform both the exterior and interior of the historic pub and elevate it to become a flagship site within the pub and brewer\u2019s Greene King pubs brand.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Zoe Bowley, Managing Director for Greene King pubs said: \u201cThe Railway is an important part of our Greene King pubs brand and over the years has become one of the go-to sites in the local area for those travelling in and out of Liverpool St station.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis major investment will help to reaffirm the pub\u2019s position on Liverpool St, where it stands proudly at the forefront of City\u2019s hustle and bustle, retaining nods to its rich history and transforming for the modern-day guest \u2013 whether they\u2019re visiting for breakfast, business meetings, kerb-side drinks or to watch live sports.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The investment brings a complete interior and exterior overhaul. Accessibility throughout the pub has been redesigned to improve customer flow and an accessible toilet has been added. The two ground floor bars have been opened up and will now operate in tandem all of the time. The bar on the first floor will now be known as \u2018The Office\u2019 and will feature new TVs for live sports and two digital darts lanes.<\/p>\n<p>A new room, known as \u2018The Waiting Room\u2019, has been introduced and will be fully equipped and available to hire for meetings \u2013 providing a private space for those looking to base themselves in the heart of the City.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The exterior has also been completely revamped, with an improved outdoors space, new seating, a new entrance leading to the upstairs bar and new Greene King pubs branding.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The pub has foundations dating back to 1736 and was originally called the Cow House before being renamed to the Railway after the invention of railways in 1804.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Railway will reopen on Friday, 21 February and is located at 15 Liverpool St, London, EC2M 7NX.
