The primary focus is managing efficient green solutions, improved public transport,<\/span><span id=\"radix-:rc1:\" class=\"cursor-pointer inline transition-colors duration-200 ease-in-out hover:opacity-80\" aria-haspopup=\"menu\" aria-expanded=\"false\" data-state=\"closed\">\u00a0and advanced waste management.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"radix-:rc4:\" class=\"cursor-pointer inline transition-colors duration-200 ease-in-out hover:opacity-80\" aria-haspopup=\"menu\" aria-expanded=\"false\" data-state=\"closed\">They align with Islamabad\u2019s vision of transforming into an environmentally green city of the future.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"radix-:rca:\" class=\"cursor-pointer inline transition-colors duration-200 ease-in-out hover:opacity-80\" aria-haspopup=\"menu\" aria-expanded=\"false\" data-state=\"closed\">Potential areas of partnership are smart city development technology, renewable energy integration \u2013 solar power, and affordable housing to accommodate the city\u2019s growing population.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"radix-:rcd:\" class=\"cursor-pointer inline transition-colors duration-200 ease-in-out hover:opacity-80\" aria-haspopup=\"menu\" aria-expanded=\"false\" data-state=\"closed\">Speaking on the occasion, Chairman CDA remarked, \u201cTechnical assistance by ADB and financial support will facilitate Islamabad to transform itself into a model sustainable city for South Asia in the soonest possible time.\u201d<\/span> <span id=\"radix-:rcg:\" class=\"cursor-pointer inline transition-colors duration-200 ease-in-out hover:opacity-80\" aria-haspopup=\"menu\" aria-expanded=\"false\" data-state=\"closed\">If brought to a pass, this collaboration could act as a model for other cities in Pakistan to emulate regarding sustainability.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Also Read: <a href=\"https:\/\/rbsland.com\/fbr-eases-tax-burden-on-property-transactions-for-expatriates\/\">FBR eases tax burden on property transactions for expatriates.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Islamabad\u2019s geographical and environmental characteristics also qualify it for priority consideration in implementing the pilot projects to create<span id=\"radix-:rcj:\" class=\"cursor-pointer inline transition-colors duration-200 ease-in-out hover:opacity-80\" aria-haspopup=\"menu\" aria-expanded=\"false\" data-state=\"closed\">\u00a0green infrastructure and low-carbon cities.<\/span> The partnership is, therefore, evidence of the need to develop international cooperation to deal with the various issues affecting cities.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"radix-:rcs:\" class=\"cursor-pointer inline transition-colors duration-200 ease-in-out hover:opacity-80\" aria-haspopup=\"menu\" aria-expanded=\"false\" data-state=\"closed\">CDA\u2019s vision is to build a city that grows with its people and meets its goal with the help of ADB to enhance the quality of life of people within the city and protect the environment for future generations.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad, December 26, 2024: The CDA is on a path to achieving sustainable urban development through draft plans for partnership with the ADB.
