The lounge\u2019s redesign is described as taking inspiration from the Pacific Northwest, while also incorporating \u201cBritish design elegance.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The lounge features textile artwork by\u00a0Hannah Mason\u00a0and\u00a0Vacilando Studios, and the decor highlights Seattle\u2019s identity as a City of Music, with\u00a0Haptic Lab\u00a0additions. The lounge heavily uses warm tones, marble stone surfaces, and opal glass lamps, with soft shapes.<!-- \/1019006\/OMAAT_InContent -->\n<\/p>\n<p>The lounge has a completely redesigned food service area, offering a range of hot and cold items, plus an a la carte dining area for passengers traveling in first class. Next up as part of this project is a redesign of lounges in Dubai (DXB) and Boston (BOS), plus an all-new lounge in Miami (MIA), with an even more updated design concept. Customers can expect to see nods to our British heritage blended seamlessly with features that celebrate the locality of the destination. We\u2019ve worked with local designers, artists, and suppliers across the globe to ensure that each lounge has its own British Original personality \u2013 and we can\u2019t wait to unveil more.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-i-m-impressed-by-british-airways-lounge-redesign\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"im_impressed_by_british_airways_lounge_redesign\"\/>I\u2019m impressed by British Airways\u2019 lounge redesign<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h2>\n<p>I recently visited British Airways\u2019 refreshed lounge in Washington, and I was super impressed. I thought the design was beautiful, the food quality was good, and I loved having a staffed bar. I\u2019ll be publishing a review soon, but I enjoyed it way more than I was expecting to.<\/p>\n<p>As much as I\u2019m critical of British Airways at times, the airline is doing a good job with its lounge redesign, and I\u2019m happy to see these continued investments. The Seattle location was most definitely in need of a refresh, so customers will appreciate this.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s perhaps most interesting to me is that the current lounge designs we\u2019re seeing aren\u2019t even the carrier\u2019s brand new lounge concept, as that\u2019s apparently launching soon. I\u2019m happy that my home airport of Miami will be <a href=\"https:\/\/onemileatatime.com\/news\/british-airways-lounge-miami\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">one of the first to get that new design<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-bottom-line\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"bottom_line\"\/>Bottom line<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h2>\n<p>British Airways has just opened its newest refreshed lounge, at Seattle Tacoma International Airport. The lounge was desperately in need of a refresh, and I\u2019d say these changes look great.
