I bet your readers have stories created about workplace rules that exist solely because one person did something spectacularly stupid. In my old office, we had to follow a ridiculous long approval process for office supply purchases because they found out one guy had been ordering himself expensive luxury pens. In my current office, they removed our kitchen microwave and wouldn’t let us bring in a new one because someone started a fire. Can we hear about other stories like that, where one person ruined it for everyone?
