Skip counting by 2s means counting forward by adding 2 each time. Instead of saying every number, we count 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and so on. Skip counting by 2s helps students recognize even numbers and prepares them for multiplication and repeated addition.

Remember: Each number is 2 more than the number
before it. For example, 8 + 2 = 10 and 10 + 2 = 12.

you reach are even numbers.
The concept on skip counting by 2’s or twos is an essential skill to get the idea when we progress to learn the concept on counting to basic addition.
