Sharjah Safari is back for a new season from today, September 21, bringing visitors the chance to get up close with wildlife from across the world. The new season comes with new animal encounters, behind-the-scenes tours and plenty of reasons to plan a visit.

Here’s what’s at Sharjah Safari for the new season

One of the many reasons to head down to the safari park in Sharjah is to say hello to the animal kingdom, and there are many new additions made to the Sharjah Safari’s family.

According to Emirates News Agency, the park recorded 186 births through its breeding and animal care programmes during the second quarter of 2026.

Over the start of September, the safari has welcomed six radiated tortoise hatchlings – a species that has been classified as critically endangered. Their arrival is another step in Sharjah Safari’s ongoing efforts to protect endangered wildlife. You can visit these little ones in Spiny Forest.

Over the summer, Sharjah Safari also welcomed other beautiful newborns to its park, including South African giraffes, elephants, lions, oryx, blue wildebeest, impala, nyala and zebra.

Aisha Rashid Deemas, Chairperson of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority in Sharjah (EPAA), said the fifth season represents another step in developing Sharjah Safari’s role in wildlife conservation while providing visitors with an educational and engaging experience.

She said the Safari aims to deepen visitors’ understanding of wildlife and the importance of conservation through programmes that combine observation, education and direct engagement.

What else is new?

This season, Sharjah Safari will offer exclusive behind-the-scenes tours at selected times, giving visitors a closer look at daily animal care and the specialist work that goes into looking after its wildlife.

Opening hours and ticket prices

Sharjah Safari is open daily from 8.30am to 6pm.

There are three packages to choose from:

Bronze category: Dhs15 per child, Dhs40 per adult
Silver category: Dhs50 per child, Dhs120 per adult
Golden seats: Dhs120 per child, Dhs275 per adult

Want a private tour? You can get a six-seater for Dhs1,500 per vehicle (for A and B), for a nine-seater it’s Dhs2,250, and for a 15-seater it’s Dhs3,500.
