Regal’s ’31 Screams on Screen’ 2026 Schedule: $7.99 a Ticket

Regal has released the full lineup for 31 Screams on Screen, the chain’s October run of one horror movie a night from October 1 through Halloween. Tickets are $7.99 before taxes and fees, a dollar under what Regal charged for last year’s edition.

The lineup is the part worth reading twice. A chain booking 31 nights of horror could run Halloween, The Conjuring, and a Blumhouse block and go home happy. Regal instead opens on October 1 with The Blackcoat’s Daughter, Oz Perkins’s glacial feature debut, which premiered at TIFF in September 2015 and then sat on a shelf until A24 and DirecTV finally let it out in early 2017. The second night is The Shining. Somebody with taste built this.

The Deep Cuts Are the Point

Tales from the Hood takes October 8, Rusty Cundieff’s 1995 anthology that spent two decades underrated before the genre caught up to it. In the Mouth of Madness follows on October 9, which is the correct second Carpenter to program once you have already booked The Thing, and Regal has, on October 12. Psycho II turns up on October 15. And Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer is booked for October 14, which is a strange and admirable thing to put on a multiplex screen in 2026.

Two nights run extended versions: the Cabin Fever director’s cut on October 22 and the Midsommar director’s cut on October 23. Two more are double features, with both Candyman films on October 16 and A Nightmare on Elm Street paired with Dream Warriors on October 18. The month closes the only way it can, with Halloween on October 30 and Trick ‘r Treat on Halloween night.

The Matinees for Smaller Viewers

Regal is also pairing The Nightmare Before Christmas with a family title on weekends. Per Bloody Disgusting’s breakdown, that means Monster House on October 2, Goosebumps on October 9, The Monster Squad on October 16, The Addams Family on October 23, and The House with a Clock in Its Walls on October 30. Outlets have listed the matinee dates slightly differently, so treat your own theater’s page as the final word on that half of the program.
