Dear God, thank you that when I offer my work to you, it has eternal significance. I’m so grateful for your promise that my labor for you won’t be in vain. Thank you that even the smallest act of service or a few words of encouragement can shine your light into the darkness of this fallen world and point other people to the hope you offer them. This truth encourages me while I work. Please keep encouraging me when I don’t feel like other people notice or value the contributions I’m making. Remind me that faithfulness matters more than recognition. Help me to work with an eternal perspective, not just for immediate results or earthy rewards like money. I want to give myself fully to the work you want me to do, with the confidence that you see my efforts and you care. Please keep using my life and my work to achieve good purposes that will last. In Jesus’ name, amen.
In conclusion, work and provision are gifts from your loving God. When you thank God for the opportunity to work and the provision that brings into your life, you’re showing God that you see work as he intends it to be: as a blessing, not a burden. Even when you face challenges at work, the Bible encourages you in 1 Thessalonians 5:18: “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” So, do your best with the work opportunities and resources God has given you, and thank him regularly for them. As you do, you can be confident that God will continue to provide everything you need!
